We handle privacy and privacy-sensitive data with care, within the limits of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch Telecommunications Act. In this Privacy & Cookie Statement we explain how we process personal data, for which purposes we process it, how you can exercise your privacy rights, and other information about how we handle personal data. Personal data is data that can be used to identify an individual or that can be linked to an individual.

This Privacy & Cookie Statement applies to all activities on all websites and apps (hereinafter: ‘Websites’ and ‘Apps’) of the companies and trade names of ‘Alexander Beach Club’ (hereinafter referred to in this document as ‘Alexander Beach Club’). Personal data may be exchanged between the group companies of Alexander Beach Club.

For which purposes does Alexander Beach Club process personal data?
Alexander Beach Club processes personal data for:

The conclusion and performance of the agreement(s) entered into, such as handling a treatment or performance relating to our products and services;
Service purposes, such as contacting you and answering questions you have asked via Customer Service;
Marketing purposes, such as:
- Promotional purposes. This includes running competitions and promotional campaigns, sending newsletters, showing offers and information, and sending user information, service messages or other electronic messages on Alexander Beach Club Websites and Apps and beyond, via advertising networks and social media channels such as Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn;
- Profiling purposes. This includes sharing and combining personal data within the group companies of Alexander Beach Club to develop a profile, so that we can better tailor the content of our Websites and Apps, information, advertising, products and services to your interests and behaviour.
- Complying with legal obligations. Alexander Beach Club processes your data to meet legal obligations, such as tax obligations;
- Development and analysis purposes, to further develop and improve our Websites and Apps, for statistical analysis and market research, such as anonymously measuring the response to our competitions and promotional campaigns and sending anonymous surveys.

Which personal data does Alexander Beach Club collect?
For the purposes above, Alexander Beach Club processes the following personal data of:

Users of Websites and Apps (‘Users’):
- Personal details, such as name, gender, email address, telephone number and date of birth;
- Interaction data, such as IP address, browsing behaviour on the Websites and Apps, click behaviour, location data, cookie ID and contact with Customer Service or Customer Care.
Consumers (‘Customers’) who purchase products and services via an Alexander Beach Club quotation and/or reservation module:
- Contact and payment details, such as name, address, place of residence, date of birth, telephone number, email address, bank account number and customer number.

Quality and liability
When you provide personal data to Alexander Beach Club, you are responsible for its accuracy and for keeping it up to date. Except in the case of intent or gross negligence, Alexander Beach Club is not liable for inaccuracies or for the consequences of activities undertaken on the basis of incorrect or incomplete information you have provided.

To whom does Alexander Beach Club provide personal data?
Alexander Beach Club only provides personal data to third parties when this is permitted and done with care. Personal data is only provided to third parties if you have given your consent or if this is permitted under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For example, Alexander Beach Club provides personal data to the police, the judicial authorities or fraud prevention organisations when this is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or a legitimate interest of Alexander Beach Club.

How long does Alexander Beach Club keep personal data?
Alexander Beach Club does not keep personal data longer than necessary for the purposes mentioned above. The retention period depends on the purpose for which the personal data is used. For example, certain personal data processed for tax purposes must be kept for seven years. Once your personal data is no longer needed, it is anonymised or deleted.

What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is placed on or read from your device during your visit to a Website, for example in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone. This text file stores or retrieves data, sometimes personal data. Using this (personal) data, you can be recognised on a later visit.

For which purposes does Alexander Beach Club place Cookies?

Some Apps need to know when you are at a specific location, otherwise they do not work properly. An Alexander Beach Club App can only use your location data if location services or Bluetooth are enabled for that App.
Analytical Cookies. Alexander Beach Club uses Google Analytics and other analytics Cookies in a privacy-friendly way to analyse how visitors use our Websites and Apps. This allows Alexander Beach Club, for example, to improve the usability of a Website and App.
Advertising or tracking Cookies. Alexander Beach Club uses Cookies for commercial and promotional purposes. The (personal) data collected this way is linked, analysed and used to develop profiles, segments and target groups, in order to show the most relevant information and personalised offers on Websites, Apps and other marketing channels, whether or not those of third parties. Tracking cookies may also be placed on Alexander Beach Club Websites and Apps by third parties (hereinafter: ‘third party cookies’). We ask for your consent in advance before placing third party cookies, because they allow your internet behaviour to be followed across different websites.
The privacy and cookie statements of the third parties concerned apply to the (personal) data processed via third party cookies. Alexander Beach Club has no influence on this.

For which domains does Alexander Beach Club ask for consent for cookies?
Alexander Beach Club asks for your consent for cookies per Website (per domain). You therefore do not give consent at once for all Websites of the brands and trade names that fall under Alexander Beach Club.

Which (personal) data does Alexander Beach Club collect via Cookies?
Alexander Beach Club collects your IP address and MAC address (anonymised where possible), browsing and click behaviour, cookie identifiers, technical characteristics (such as the browser you use and the resolution of your computer screen), the page from which you arrived at Alexander Beach Club Websites, when and for how long you visit or use our Websites and Apps, whether you use features of our Websites and Apps, which pages you visit on our Websites and which screens of the Apps you view.

How can you object to Cookies?

Websites
By changing your browser settings, you can indicate that your browser should not accept Cookies (from our Websites). Apps
You cannot change the settings of Apps so that they work without storing and reading Cookies. You can, however, set Apps so that no data is shared with Alexander Beach Club. Please note that the Apps may then not work, or not fully. If you have decided to accept Cookies and want to stop at a later time, we recommend that you first delete any App account and then the App itself. We will erase data that can be traced to a person and process other data anonymously for analysis purposes.

The App usually offers an easy way to switch off the Bluetooth function and location services.

How can you exercise your privacy rights?

Right of access, rectification or erasure of personal data
You can submit a request for access, rectification or erasure to Alexander Beach Club. You can do this via the contact form. Clearly state in the subject line that it concerns privacy, and more specifically a request for access, rectification or erasure under article 35 or 36 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please note that in some cases Alexander Beach Club may ask for additional information to properly verify your identity.

Objection
You have the right to object to the use of personal data. If you indicate that you no longer wish to be contacted (via a particular medium), Alexander Beach Club will add you to a list kept for that purpose and your personal data will no longer be used for these purposes. You can do this via the contact form. Clearly state that it concerns privacy, and more specifically an appeal to your right to object under article 40 or 41 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Alexander Beach Club reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy & Cookie Statement. You are responsible for staying informed of the latest version of this Privacy & Cookie Statement. Alexander Beach Club therefore recommends that you check regularly for changes.
